AfricaOnline, a member of the Telkom SA group of companies, took its first steps on the road to the future in August 1999, as MWEB Namibia, with the acquisition of a local ISP, IWWN. On 27 May 2010, the company officially became AfricaOnline.

AfricaOnline's Business products also include dial options for the SMME and SOHO markets. For the larger corporate, AfricaOnline offers Wimax Broadband or a VSAT satellite connection, as well as standard leased line services, web hosting, mail hosting and spooling, domain registration, virtual private networks (VPN), the business server and website design.
